Introducing: “Such Magic” is a cozy literary showcase that brings together poetry, storytelling, and community conversation in a charming tea house. This curated event series celebrates one featured poet, who will have ample time to read poems, share the stories behind the stanzas, and take questions from the audience. Every event will be shaped around the theme of the poet’s book for a unique, unforgettable experience.

Like MTV Unplugged meets The Moth Storytelling Showcase meets Mortified—for poets.

Enjoy this unique opportunity to hear poets speak about their work and their process.

Intimate. Authentic. Literary. Personal. Poetic.

October’s “Such Magic” will feature José Enrique Medina and his award-winning chapbook, Haunt Me (Rattle, 2025). What if you want to be haunted by someone you love, but are only pestered by unwanted phantoms? Haunt Me is a funny, tender, and imaginative jaunt through a brilliant poet’s mourning process—grief turned gossamer. Books will be available for sale.

October’s theme is: “Haunt Me”
